We Got the Rats! :)

We drove all the way to Lynchburg today to get them, and let me just say....FUCK LYNCHBURG. We were there for >20min. and already begging to be back in Roanoke. *rolls eyes* I swear, whoever planned out those roads needs a few bullets in the head.

ANYWHO, they're ADORABLE! <3 I would post some pictures, but for some reason I can't find my camera! :( But, Mike got a hooded, variegated cream/fawn and he named him Skeeter. Mine's named Wheaties and he's a hooded, variegated ivory/buff. ADORBS!! <33 We've already fed them their first meal of blueberries and spinach. :) Skeeter didn't really want any - whether he was too shocked/scared or just wasn't hungry we don't know - but Wheaties ate nearly ALL of his! :D After a while we decided to leave them alone for a bit to get aquainted with their new home and they seem to be more curious than scared now. :)

Besides today this last week has been a blur though. Between waiting to get the rats and his paycheck, we haven't really been paying attention to much else. We did end up watching a few movies - one was Stigmata, which he downloaded because I've never seen it before, and it was AMAZING! Definitely top 3 paranormal/demon movies that I've ever seen! He says that next he's going to get The Devil's Advocate for me and I hope it's HALF as good as Stigmata was! In fact, just talking about it makes me want to watch it again....I wish I could bring the tv into the bathroom so I could watch it while I take a bubble bath. xP

No plans for tomorrow though - besides if he has to go to work - but we'll probably end up spending the whole day with Skeeter and Wheaties. :)

Happy Easter!

I had a great weekend, for once! xP Saturday night Mom, Renee and I were all supposed to go out for a drink, but Pam, Andre and Mom's friend Brooke ended up coming along too. It's not that I minded them coming, Mom just should have picked a better place, or a round table where everyone could've faced each other. It was so annoying to look back and forth over each other just to get a few sentences in! But the food was good and we all had a good time. :)

Easter was pretty good too - it was more of an up and down day than Sat. Mike went to work at 9am, then a few hours later I went over to Mom's to hang until they went across the street to Nana's. Well, it was a freaking MAD HOUSE. The kids were taking turns screaming and crying, Mom was crying because Dad bitched out, and Renee was so pissed off at the kids I thought she was going to slap me just for trying to talk to her. And, how I'll never know, through all of this, Richie was sleeping on the couch like nothing was happening. He rolled over a few times, but I don't think there was a time when he actually opened his eyes or said anything. We took the kids outside, but that was a mistake - Bella kept trying to climb up the concrete steps, and Patrick kept peeing out of his shorts leg - one time he did it right behind me on the steps and ending up getting me with a drop or two. ><

Shortly after, Mike (THANKFULLY) rescued me by calling to say that they had let him go early because even though they were dead as hell, he was the only one actually doing anything. :) He got off just in time to get changed and us rush off to dinner, which was really nice for a change. Everyone was in a great mood and smiling - no fights! Cindy even brought over her boyfriend and his kid - the poor girl looked petrified to even look at any of us! The kids had a blast though, and that's all that matters in the end. :)

Yesterday and today have just been rat-filled! xP I haven't gotten them yet, but since I went to the pet store last week and held one of the rats, I have been hell bent on getting my rats, and I set next Sat. as the date I plan to go get them. (We might have to end up waiting until Sun. if Nana wants to go with us so she can hit Kohl's.) Yesterday I finished off their hammock, made a rope and a second neck-tote-back for them to crawl in when we're holding them. :) Only need a nesting box and a litter box and their cage will be complete! Today, we starting making a little table-top play area for them, but it still needs a few things before I'm going to be satisfied with it. I'm so excited to get them! :D <3

Anywho, I'm going to go print out a few more spreadsheets then take a nice, long bubble bath. :)

Great day. :)

Today has been a pretty great day! :) Apparently we were going to get money for Easter, but they gave it to us today instead of waiting until this Sunday. After, we went out and got the rat cage!!! <3333 We're going to be driving up to Lynchburg next weekend to get them, and I can't wait! To be honest, I'm glad Mike talked me out of getting them today because I still need to print out their diet schedule, finish their hammock and a few other little things that really do need to be done before we get them. Either way....NEXT WEEKEND!! AHH!!! <333

So, we got home and set it up, then hung around until it was time for him to go to work. As soon as I got back, Nana and Mom were both calling me wanting me to come up and visit the kids. Which, I kind of didn't want to since I hadn't slept last night and I was getting a migraine, but it might be the only time I get to see them, and I didn't want to pass up the chance. They were so adorable, and they both seemed to like me. :) Patrick wouldn't leave me alone! He kept shooting me with his gun and wanting me to fix/open things for him - at one point he even "flew" into my lap so I would hold him while he was watching The Cat in the Hat. xP He must've watched it 5x just while I was there! Bella was adorable too, she kept sucking on her thumb while she twirled her hair! <3 Adorbs! She spent most of her time eating and trying to take Patrick's toys though. xP

Anyways, great day and I SOOOOOO can't wait til next weekend. I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself until then! AHH! :DD <33

Spring Cleaning

The house has been so peaceful the past few days! :D (Especially since Frank hasn't been here in 2wks!!!) I have been sewing some things for my rats - one was almost like a tote bag (a bag with a halter strap,) for them to crawl in while we're holding them, and the other was a hammock with a cuddle pocket in it! :D I'm still not the best at keeping my stitches straight (by any stretch of the imagination,) but they're strong and the rats are going to chew/pee on them anyways. xP At least fleece is washable! I'm getting better though, so maybe by the time I need to make them another hammock it won't look quite so "homemade." xP Still no word from the breeder about them - I think I'm going to send her an email about it. The only problem is figuring out a way to word it so I don't sound like I'm angry or rushing her. :/ I don't want to make waves, but I REALLY want my rats! :'(

Aside from sewing, I've been spring cleaning like crazy today. I packed up a bunch of stuff that we don't use regularly, so it won't be such a hassle when we're ready to move out. I even rearranged my vanity area so that I can have my sewing machine on the little table beside my laptop. :D All in all, it looks worse than it did when I started, but it's definitely going to take some time - we have a lot of stuff to go through - and most of it is in boxes/bags since we have more stuff than room. xP Hopefully, that won't be a problem for too much longer.

Tomorrow, I'm going in to work for my grandmother at 6am! :'( I am so not used to getting up that early since the car's mine now, and I know I'm going to be groggy and cranky with everyone. xP I'm so used to having to stay up until 2am so I can pick Mike up from work that I doubt I'm going to be able to go to sleep before at LEAST midnight! :/ I'll have to take a nap when Mike goes to work, because he'll be closing tomorrow and DEFINITELY won't be getting off until AT LEAST 1am. :;( So, crazy-weird hours tomorrow.

Anywho, Bad Girls Club and Love Games tonight! :DD I can't wait to see the premiere of Love Games, Leia was my favorite! :D <33

PLAY WITH IT!

We have seriously got to get the fuck out of here....these people are getting lazier and dumber (if possible,) by the day!! Now, they're using dishes that have food all over them because they're too "intelligent" to use the correct settings on the dishwasher! How fucking stupid!! NO WONDER they constantly feel like shit! It doesn't really bother me that much - I'm not their fucking keeper, so if they want to live like slobs I say let them - we don't go down there anyways. But, it's really starting to take it's toll on Mike and I can't stand watching him use his day off or his (few) hours before and after work cleaning up after them. I literally have to pull him away and explain to him that she's HIS mother, not the other way around. If she's too lazy to clean (or too stupid to actually make her daughter do anything,) then let them live in their shit hole! *sigh* I can't to see him get so upset over it everyday, especially when we make comments loud enough for the whole house to hear, but it still doesn't do any good. Fucking lazy bitches.

Anyways, on the lighter side of things, we'll be getting our cage for the rats in 2 days! :DD Still no word from the breeder yet, though, which is really starting to piss me the fuck off. It's been nearly 2wks since I last heard from her, and I had no problem giving her a little lee-way to sort out who's getting what rats, but this is starting to get a little ridiculous - especially since she's been getting on FB and chit-chatting. If you have time to fuck around on the internet, how about sending out emails you've been promising? Hm? *sigh/rolls eyes*

Now, I'm getting all upset again. TBH, there's really not a lot for me to be happy about right now, except for Mike - but, I can't even be happy with him because he stays so fucking pissed at everyone else in the house. We just SERIOUSLY have to get the fuck out of here ASAP, so they can implode alone - we want NO part of it. And I'd love to see her come crawling back to us when they're getting ready to get evicted! "AHAHAH!! SORRY BITCH!! You already ruined our lives once, and you will NOT be doing it again," will be our repsonse, if she gets one at all. I wonder if she even cares/realizes that she has completely ruined any chance she ever had at having a relationship with her son once we move out. Hell, he didn't even want her coming to our wedding - that was PURE PITY. *rolls eyes*

Anyways, I'm going to go take a nice, long bubble bath and hope that everything looks better in the morning - but, I REALLY doubt it. All this fucking drama is just consuming our lives.

No Internets

The next few days are definitely going to be fun. >< Supposedly, Cox didn't tell Sis about $33 of the balance, so for now we don't have any internet or tv. *scream* lol It's really not that bad, until Mike goes to work - then I'm bored out of my fucking mind! I have no idea when they'll get it sorted out either. Hell, it could be sorted out now and I wouldn't know because I'm working for Nana right now. But, they were getting so defensive about it, that they made it sound like it would be until one of them got paid. *rolls eyes* We seriously need to get the fuck out of this house. We may not have a lot of spending money, but all of our shit usually gets paid - their problem is ALL of their money is spending money. Idiots.

Anywho, Sunday dinner went pretty good yesterday, except for Mom being a bitch as usual. It's seriously just getting fucking infuriating now - SHE NEEDS TO GET THE FUCK OVER IT! And making jokes about killing my Daddy is DEFINITELY not the way to get on my good side...just a side note. But, all in all I'm getting fed up and I can't even stand to be around her anymore - I get less stressed about Pam now! We all want to help her and be there for her, but there IS a breaking point - for everyone.

Oh! And I'm getting the cage for my rats this weekend! :D Still no word from the breeder, but I'm not surprised....her waiting list is pretty long. :/ So, it may be months before I can have my baby boys. :'(

Well, I better wrap this up, it's been half an hour since my last customer so I'm sure one will come in any minute. :/

Update

Today's been a pretty good day so far. It's pretty crappy outside, but it's Mike's day off so hopefully we won't have to go out too much. Nana went ahead and paid me for working on Mon., so we were thinking about maybe going out to dinner or something. Which would be nice, I've been feeling pretty the last few days - I've even been wearing shorter dresses! :DD It's an amazing feeling when you lose all of that weight - you feel so much better about yourself. Now, if only my family would be happy for me, it would be a COMPLETELY different story. xP

I did end up painting my toenails three times before I was satisfied. That vintage car blue just made them look really messy, so now it's back to the pink! But, I went for a brighter pink than usual. Still looks good though. :) And I did my fingernails my favorite way - french manicure. <33 It makes my hands look so beautiful, especially with my wedding rings. :DD

Anywho, we're still deciding what we want to do today, so I'd better quit writing/ignoring him and get it over with. xP
